Soho in downtown London Ontario is undergoing a significant transformation at sometime in the near future. With the removal of the old Victoria Hospital, a large section of property backing onto the Thames River is set for redevelopment. This will span over many years, and smaller investors are speculating on property values increasing by purchasing some of the older homes in need of restoration.
The area still has a mix of residential, commercial and retail, and dates back to the early days of London Ontario’s beginnings in the 1840’s. Originally named St. David’s Ward, it still holds the same boundaries as it did those many years ago.
